I came out in my late teens, though, again... everyone knew I was a lesbian before then, I just wasn't aware of the label. So this was before I "came out". I think I was like 15 (24 now) at Whole Foods supermarket. This chick was wicked hot so I went over to talk to her and her mother was like "you are way too pretty to be a homosexuals, you cut that nonsense out, it is against nature and God." I remember my mom flipping out saying something like "Homosexuality is nonsense but God isn't? Every person in this world can see homosexuality, therefore making it fact and not nonsense, not everyone can see God, making it nonsense." Then she went on to say something like nature and God doesn't belong in the same sentence because God isn't a part of nature since it's supernatural. You would think I'd realize I was a "homosexual" at this point but no, that question didn't even form in my head, I was thinking "why is being a homosexual going against nature." I asked my dad that and he said "Oh it's not Princess. It's been around for as long as nature and the concept of Christianity is much younger than that. Look at the Greek Gods." So then I went over to my brother and asked him the samething and he said "No, stupid. Gay isn't going against nature because there's a lot of gay porn that makes a lot of money so think about it, if it's so unnatural, why would the industry be so successful? DUH."
Anyway, my parents always told me "mom and dad knows the truth" but I've never heard anyone else make the same arguments my family does where as, when I read answers in Yahoo Answers, a lot of different people make the same argument about the whole homosexuals going against nature. Did my parents lie to me?
