Question:
Are most male gay couples versatile in the bedroom?

Hi there,

I'm asking this for a bit of research. I am a straight female, but I am writing a slash fan fiction story at the moment, and was wondering how common it is for gay couples to have either a 'top' or 'bottom' role, or are most couples versatile? Based on your experiences? I'd like my story to be realistic. Well, as realistic as it can be, given it's a Harry Potter fan fiction!

Thank you for any help!

I'm 99.5% bottom - - all I ever wanted to do - I don't enjoy Topping - only do it if I'm really into a guy and he wants me to.

So - - - been with lots of guys - - - very few claimed to be vers - if they did, they were usually like me: bottoms who could Top but don't want to - - - most guys I've hooked with identified as Tops.

But - I don't know if preference ever changes: I had a thing with an older guy for a couple years - - - he was like 30 and 100% Top - - - but later on he tells me that he was 100% bottom from his teens until late 20s then suddenly got the urge to Top and has bottomed since !

I'm sure there are some true Vers guys - I just haven't met many or any. And don't overlook guys who are totally gay, but don't do any sex.......don't do anal......oral only (give take or both??).

hard to say (pardon the pun). I've been with guys that were versatile, and with guys that weren't. I could say it's a 50/50 chance on what you'd find but can't say that it's an accurate assessment.

My theory about writing fiction is to "mine your own business". That means, write about things that you have first hand knowledge of. If you are not gay and don't have first hand knowledge of what gay couples do in bed, then don't write about it. Frankly, as a gay man in a long term relationship with another man, I find the question rather intrusive.

Good luck.

I'd guess they are as versatile as straight couples.

Most gay couples are not versatile if by that you mean anal sex. which most of us reject. Penetrative sex is a heterosexual dogma that does not apply to gay folk.

Anal sex is and has always been the most frequent form of heterosexual activity worldwide, as the cheapest and most convenient form of birth control. The orifice is tighter than vagina, too, so after childbirth many men browbeat their women into accepting it.

And many hetero men love to get their prostate messaged, especially if they are circumcised, because they have lost two thirds of the nerve ending in the penis from the operation and at some stage keratinization also sets in.

Most gay men reject it.
