What do you think would happen if a kids show, say Dora, Strawberry Shortcake, Friendship is Magic, whatever, did an episode that's plot was about some gay character(s) and their struggle to come to terms with it, dealing with ridicule, what their family might think, etc.?

1. how would people react to it?
2. would the episode get pulled, and if it did get pulled would it get "unpulled" after some time?
3. do you think something like this will ever happen.?

Now watch as this question gets no freaking answers!

As you can see from your first two answers, a lot of people would freak out over the thought, or see it as perversion or brain-washing. Personally, I think it would help people to know that there is nothing wrong with being gay, and I would applaud it.

The episode would definitely be pulled in the US, and quite possibly in the UK as well. I don't know if it would be released again, possibly in 100 years time, if equality issues and orientation discrimination are a thing of the past by then (in other words, I wouldn't hold my breath).

And I doubt something like this will happen any time soon, to be honest.

1. I assume that different people would have different reactions. A lot of parents would complain and demand that the show be cancelled (instead of just not letting their kids watch it). Other people would be okay with it, might even applaud it. Nickelodeon has actually done this before, in a way (most of their shows have at least one gay character, but as long as they don't openly say he's gay, they're fine).

2. Unfortunately, there's an 80% chance that it would be pulled. Homosexuality is still a somewhat touchy subject.

3. It might happen. Anything is possible. "Adventure Time" did an episode about transgender rights and another one about homosexuality and religion (but they disguised the true plots of the episodes very nicely, and I admit some fans might be misinterpreting the messages they were sending). The Simpsons has done many episodes featuring homosexuality and such, and the show is considered "family friendly".

1. Kids parents and religious organizations would freak out!

2. The episode would definitely get pulled

3. I don't think that something like this would happen anytime soon. People think that exposing kids to sexuality is the same as exposing them to sex itself and no one wants their kids watching shows with such "grown up" plots. I think that if it did happen one day, it would help a lot of kids

1) Most normal people would accept it, but homophobic religious bigots would kick up a lot of fuss over it.

2) The homophobic religious bigots would almost certainly get it pulled. I'd like to think that it wouldn't, but I can't see it being shown in the foreseeable future.

3) I'd love to see it happen. Children should be shown real life examples in their TV shows, it's a great way to educate them, but I expect that this would be too radical for most TV producers to consider.

I bought my children up to respect others, whatever their lifestyle, and I think they are now well adjusted adults. I would have had no hesitation in letting them see something like that when they were younger.

They are, as far as I know, both straight, and both have gay friends, so I know they are more accepting of LGBT people than some other people that I know.

I think that would be awesome. I mean being gay shouldn't be such a big bad thing anyways.

Although if that did happen there be a lot of parents getting pissed off.

I did see once on Sesame Street 2 male puppets kiss though. I was shocked.

Firstly to the homophobic idiots that commented, 94% of pedophiles are straight males, and that is factual statistics.

I personally think kids do not care, kids do not watch or pay attention to things like that in show, it is just as easy to show a gay couple as it is to show a straight couple. My 5 year old niece understood same sex couples just as easy as she did with different sex couples; the issue is not a kid getting mixed up, the issue is homophobic people making up lies and excuses.

I do not think any kids show would show characters coming to terms with sexuality, that is too difficult for kids to understand; it would be difficult even in the case of straight people dealing with issues. Kids shows are extremely basic and generally do not have much to them.

Thats exhibit is so dull. Almost as unhealthy as that rattling Paranormal state. I do think in ghosts however i dont suppose that individuals can "speak to them". Just a host of school drop outs seeking to suppose predominant. Trying to rip-off a dollar NOTHING MORE,NOTHING LESS!

I think it would be a good idea, but I am sure the religious noisemakers would make a fuss because they are afraid their kids might be gay.

I don't think it would happen because little kids don't' need to be thinking about their sexuality yet.
