Can woman be drag queens too?

Just wondering but can a biological woman be a drag queen? I know the word drag queen means a male dressing like a woman for show. But I was watching TV and this commerical was talking about a drag race and how it was co-ed so can a woman be a drag queen too?

A women in womens clothing would still be a woman. It's only drag if a dude wears it.

I think there is more to being a drag queen that simply dressing up as a woman. I don't view drag queens as women, but something else entirely. I think it's more about breaking "the rules" and defying convention, but focusing more on the feminine side of it.



I say yes, a girl can be a drag queen. Just keep those things in mind.

But I guess a woman could attempt to be a drag queen, but I doubt she'd be as good at it. Theres a difference between drag and crossdressing.
