Is Saturday Night Live subversively racist?

We have an African American president and first lady in the white house and Saturday Night Live (SNL) also has one African American performer. It seems strange that the total number of performers on SNL is like 10 but there is only one minority performer. I think SNL needs to get with the times and stop being so Old Boys Club.

edit: I hope you'll at least be consistent and decry the lack of diversity found among other comedic venues such as The Original Kings of Comedy and the Latin Kings of Comedy. Or is it only offensive when "priviledged" white people lack diversity among their ranks?

If I started getting angry about every show that didn't have a gay person in it, then I'd be angry all of the time. Likewise, its stupid to count ethnicities in a show. If the show consisted completely of any other ethnicity, nobody would be complaining. We should drop the shallow white guilt spiel and focus on the quality of the performers, not the distant ethnic heritage that they happen to have.
