So I was reading through a local newspaper here where I live. And they have a section where they have "quotes of the week" and this was the quote.

I'm not saying it's the only sin. Obviously, we have sin - we have murder... we have adultery, and we don't make laws making those legal.

State Sen. Scott Rentro, speaking about homosexuality in a legislative debate.

So are there any other quotes by people that are against the LGBT community that you entirely hate or feel is just wrong?

The religious justification of bigotry is what gets to me, too. When people put forth the "sin" and "God" arguments, just take those right out and say, "God doesn't hate f@gs, you do." And force them to be accountable for their words and actions instead of using their idea of God as a scapegoat.

I like how he basically put being gay on the same level as murder. What an asshole. Why are we so hated? What have we done? All we want is to be able to have children(adopt, etc), visit our partner in the hospital and get married when we find that special someone. I mean aren't we evil for wanting such things?

I think all quotes against the LGBT communtiy are wrong, but it we can't do much about it other than quote something positive right back - or just something to p!ss the haters off ;)

I can even be bothered entering into an argument with people referring to 'sin'. How am I supposed to argue with someone citing a divine wrongdoing? You cannot use reason to argue illogicality.
