Plain, boring to some, not very adventurous, not very kinky, sexual practice.

The flavor in with the chocolate and strawberry in Neopolitan Icecream. Jeez. LOL. No, vanilla, when refering to a person (in gay or any other language) means someone who is into bland, simple things. They don't experiment and only have sex in 1 position lol. No whips chains or whip cream.

'Vanilla' isn't actually a term used only by gays, it's used by straight people as well. All it refers to is whether one has 'normal sex'- often defined as the boring, man-on-top missionary position with no frills, or 'kinky' sex that can involve a lot of other stuff, usually BDSM.

Think of it in terms of ice cream- some people love vanilla- it's not plain, it's sophisticated and understated, some people love chocolate and say vanilla is too boring, some people love both, depends on the mood they're in. Just apply that menality to sex, and you have vanilla and kink.

Vanilla is a term used in the Domination/submission lifestyle. Its means people of any sexual orientation who are not kinky.

As far as I know its not used in the GLBT lifestyle except in the GLBT leather community.

Gay people have their own language? I must have missed gay language in high school.

Um, that's not necessarily a gay term. It's more in the BDSM arena. It means that you like it plain and normal, no bondage, no domination, just your meats and potatoes sort of sex.

Same as it does in straight language: the opposite of "kinky".

Plain sex, no kink. No handcuffs, watersports, fisting, frottage, just plain ole' anal and oral. Hohum.
