LMAO! Wherever have you been? Our markets are flooded with all brands of deodorants, cheap, expensive, fakes, genuine ones. Most men in urban areas use deodorants quite liberally. But seriously, the concept of deodorants is comparatively new in India, and will take time to penetrate the deepest parts of the country.

If they don't use deodorant, it may be a cultural thing. All of my Middle-eastern and Indian fiends seem like they use it or cologne and dress very well. They live here in the U.S. so I really don't know what they do in their own countries. A lot probably depends on their economic status and the availability of the products in their individual countries.

Hi,

The human scent is pleasant to some cultures. Also deoderants contain aluminum oxide ans aluminum might contribute to Alheimers disease so perhaps they are ahead of us in that respect.

It depends on where you have met these people. What it 100 degrees out. Even after showering, if I walk about an hour I am pretty sweaty(with deodorant). I am not a member of these races that you have mentioned by the way.

First of all, how do you know that they don't?

If some don't, it's because they haven't been brainwashed by society and the advertising media that bodily odors are something that require a product to fix.

We here in the United States like to place our values and judgments on everyone else. We live in a very Eurocentric society. The other peoples of the world, Africans, Indians, Mexican, or Indigenous peoples, don't try to mask the scent that God gave them. If you were in 115degree heat, had to find food for your family in a village, and had to walk 30miles to a water source, the last thing that you would think is " Darn, did I forgot to put deodorant on?" Even if living in the in the U.S, it takes a long time to assimilate from the customs of your ancestors to the fast paced, fast food filled, time controlled ways of the United States. Just until a very small time in our worlds history, have people worn deodorant. European kings and queens believed that bathing was for the poor. As a result, they used alot of perfume and didn't bathe for months. Months! So, the moral of this litte story is htis: when you encounter people who may not dress like you, or smell like you, please treat them with the same dignity and respect that you would want someone to extend to you. Do it often and you will notice their hearts and the smell won't be important at all. :)
