I'm being stalked in an online support group!?

Someone...(I think I know who it is) is bothering me in a medical support group. I got this person angry in the real world and they are basically impersonating me in a cruel way in this group. They have specifics of my medical records...it's just so bizarre. I know I crossed the person. This group was helping me and I can't prove it that it's a fake person. What would you do? This group was helping me so much. It's for an illness I have.

Contact the group's moderator. Believe me, THEY can tell who is who, as they can see each member's ISP information. They can also ban the jerk from the group if he/she doesn't shape up.



By the way, it's against the law to use someone's medical records -- it's fraud, and they can be jailed for it.

K, is there anyway for you to contact the support group leader? I don't know how you contact the group but if it's online do you have a password you can change or some type of logon data that can be changed? There must be some way to prove this person is impersonating you. Also, someone publishing your medical information is illegal. Is the group affiliated with a hospital or some type of medical company? Contact them if you can. Hopefully there is some way for you to stop this. Best wishes.

I know how you feel. My former guy friend is obsessed with me (he never got over the fact that I'm a lesbian) and he has stalked me in person and followed me online too. He's a creeper.



Just leave the support group. Change all of your email addresses, and other passwords for your other sites too and avoid that person like the PLAGUE. The best way to deal with a nut case stalker is to not deal with them. Stay away from the person.

You said "you crossed this person". Did you go to this person and make your heart right? I notice we have consequences for our choices. This is one of them. Most people are to prideful to right there wrongs or to scared they will be rejected. All you can do is try to rememeber what it was you did to this person. If you did the right thing in crossing this person remember there are consequences for right choices also. Some do not alway turn out good. I fired some people for my company, it is hard for me to make the choice. I mean what if they want to vandalize my business. Choices are hard. But if you really did this person wrong you have to right it and wait for the consequence to pass. Show this person kindness even if they are doing you dirty. But do not return evil for evil. You do not want to be like this person no matter how it hurts you. I hope this helps.

cant you report them like on y?a and you know it is ilegal to use private medical records in a fraudulant way that is a criminal offense . report to the group that this is happening and and then report the creep to moderator of the group if one exists.
