Because we in the GLBT community need to stick together and look after each other in our fight for equal rights like heterosexuals have.

Because they're natural too.

GLBT people share the fight against heteronormativity. Also, transsexuals are the only "T" people wishing to alter nature, many transgender people simply want free of gender roles which gives them a lot in common with gay, lesbians and bisexuals who are also breaking free of heterosexual mainstream societies proscribed roles.

Bisexuals have genuine relationships based on exclusivity, there's just no predicting which gender they will be with.

LGBTH makes no sense seeing as how the dominant culture favors heterosexuals.

Intersex people almost always identify as men or women their sexual orientaion can be labeled with that in mind.

There usually is a large element of irrational fear involved in anti-gay prejeduce.

I believe the "T"s are in the group - because very often - they live a gay lifestyle prior to changing sex. Also - because they are accepted by the homosexual community. And transexuals are searching for the same acceptance from society - that is sought after by the LGB's.

Women and Children ARE very often grouped together. None of us go to war. Men do. Also in situations where people are being saved - women and children are put first.

I suppose there are reasons to group people sometimes. It's usually because they have similar interests or needs. Thus LGBT.

I believe that hermaphrodites (as you put it - people with both sexual organs but a propensity for only one sex or the other) have usually chosen to live their lives as either a male or female heterosexual - so they don't have the same needs as the LGBT community.

Believe me - there IS a fear of gayness. Many people have a fear that they may be gay - and because of that - they shun all gays. Very often when people are not able to accept homosexuals into their lives - the reason behind it is fear driven. Thus - homophobia.

I think the only reason is that heterosexual people are what society calls NORMAL. We are comfortable being who we are. And as far as Transsexuals, you don't know how hard that would be if you knew in your heart that you were supposed to be the OPPOSITE sex, and stuck in the wrong body. Transsexuals are no different thank a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Heterosexual person. The LGBT community is there for anyone it is not just for the LGBT but it is based on that concept.

For your questions then why cant Marriage be for a man and woman, woman and woman, man or man? I mean if it should be Woman and Children or LGBTH shouldn't it all be equal?

I agree with your statement on Homophobia, i bet you seen that on Last Comic Standing. :)

Well have a good day.

This section is basically about people - people have natural qualities. They just break it down in that way because they felt it was it's own separate issue.

And sometimes homophobia is used wrong. And in many cases it's used right. It just depends on the behavior of the accused.

Well the way I see it, transsexual people will, before or after gender reassignment, be gay or lesbian.

If I'm a man who likes women, and I am transsexual, and I transition into a female, I then go from being a straight male to a lesbian female.

So before or after gender reassignment, they belong to the rest of the spectrum. They have a shifting sexual orientation because their bodies shift.

I totally agree with your view of LGBTH. I won't discount bisexuals because of their ability to be with either gender, they are as capable of forming relationships and living life like everyone else.

As for LGBTH I call it LGBTS, where S stands for straight. I do believe in an all inclusive sexual orientation spectrum, and I do hope that we're moving towards that. I don't see the need for division any more.

We should be free to be ourselves, no matter where we fit on the spectrum, and to be proud to have the freedom to accept ourselves and others, and most importantly, be proud that we can be honest.

For your part about transgendered people, that one can be confusing. Usually they have surgeries at a young age, very very young to set their gender. It's not gender reassignment, it's gender selection. So usually they just fall into the spectrum based on their gender and the gender of the partners they prefer.

Basically theirs is a gender issue, not a sexual orientation issue. Usually though you see them lumped in with transsexuals, sometimes both are referred to as intersexed.

As for homophobia, it is an old term, and not accurate, but it stuck. Much like how gay equals homosexual, but before gay meant happy. So though the term is inaccurate, and is usually used to define anti-gay sentimentality, it still stuck.

However I personally view homosexuality as a personal view, which I can respect, and which they can speak of respectfully. There is the more extreme version that I call anti-gay, which is when people don't respect us and discriminate against us based on our sexual orientation. So that's where I draw that line.
