How do transsexuals explain themselves?

I have seen on shows that some don't confess to being biologically men; I heard more about men turned women. They go out posing as females. I saw an episode of "Jerry" as well as reality shows on which I women didn't confess until marriage. I understand they they weren't assign their desired sex. However, when they got the sex change and begin dating, they're dealing with other lives. Why be with people who are with you due to knowing lies and not the truth?

I am a transsexual. I transitioned nine years ago. And I agree with you. I am very upfront when I first meet someone. To not do so is a very good way to get killed. Most of us ARE aware of the risks, and take proper precautions.

First, I wouldn't put any credence on anything said or shown on TV reality shows.



A transsexual is a person who enjoys living as the opposite sexual gender. A transgendered person believes they were born with the wrong genitalia. The two are vastly different.



I have a hard time believing anyone would marry a transsexual without knowing their true orientation. How could you not know that they shave? How could you not know they have the same genitalia as yourself? How about the Adams apple? All in all, I think the person being 'duped' would have to be very shallow and ignorant.



Now, think about the transgendered person who has had the sexual reassignment surgery. They have probably been harassed and ostracized their whole life. The easy route for them would be to keep their little secret. If their partner cannot tell they are any different from anyone of the same sex, who cares. The only problem I see is if their spouse wants children. I'm not saying this is right, it's very dishonest and a bad way to start a relationship. It would be like a homosexual getting married without telling their spouse about their sexual orientation. I wouldn't give the marriage much of a chance in either situation.

I am a MtoF transsexual and I always tell the men I date up front who I am. Most of the men I date are looking for women like me, so there is really no problem. I do believe in being honest in a relationship and I do not pretend to be anything more or less than I am.

Do you tell every last aspect of your entire life to someone by the end of the eighth date? Probably not. Different people come out when they think a relationship has progressed far enough and they're comfortable enough with the individual in question. Also, don't get your ideas of how the real world is from the television. Stuff on there is distorted in order to make a buck.

Jerry springer and other shows are garbage that are a mockery of our lives. Transsexuals go through a lot of pain and effort to achieve the feeling of comfort that you take for granted in your body. Many transsexuals tell their partner before it gets too serious about their past, although many also choose not to because the person stops seeing them as they are but sees them as a transsexual and a fake.

They dont need to explain themselves. It might save them some grief in the future but if they choose not to, then they dont have to.
