Question:
No erection in the morning? (guys only, obviously)?

What percentage of men get morning erections? Is it normal for some men NOT to get morning erection at all? I'm 25, virtually no sex life. Whenever I'm with a guy, I just can't execute, though everything works just fine when I masturbate by myself. At first I thought it was just psychological and confidence problems. But now I'm beginning to think something physiological may be at play. I have experienced morning wood maybe 3-4 times in my living memory, so I almost never get it. So I'd like a quick Yahoo answers survey - how old are you, and do you get morning wood?

35 and most of the time. I'm not sexually active right now, and haven't been in years. I am doing it now a couple times a month though. Are you taking any medicines that might inhibit erections? Anti-depressants can stop things. If you take Propecia for hair loss it can interfere with erections and stamina as well. Talk to a doctor.

I don't think thats a problem, but you should start having sex (it helps you live little longer). I'm currently 19 mate. I use to get more erections when I was like 15-18 but now I get them like once in 3-4 months. My sex life is not bad, about 4-5 of sexual activity a month. I think you wake up with an erection in the morning, if your body want to release urine out of your penis. Try drinking a lot of water before sleeping, and see if you wake up with an erection. Good luck bro.

47 and yes, I still wake up at Morningwood virtually every morning. Haven't been with someone for about 4 years but I still masturbate on a relatively regular basis. I operate on the "use it or lose it" rule.

Medicine doesn't really know exactly WHAT causes early morning tumescence but many have posited that it is simply a "system check:" your body making sure all departments are 'go.' And it's a lot less embarrassing happening in the morning in the privacy of your own home than on the commuting bus.

If you've had it rarely, I wouldn't worry about your lack of it now (seems like that is status quo for you.) Some medications or dietary patterns can affect it. If you're concerned about it, talk to your PCP about it or if you don't have one, go to a urologist.

I have that same problem, it started about 2 years ago... Waking up and even trying to have sex with a guy no erection... So I went to a doctor to see what the problem is... He told me what causes a erection is blood flow to your penis... And because I drink lots of coffee the caffeine causes a slow down on the flow of blood... I just can't give up my coffee :{

But guys that I have sex with don't really mind it, only its hard to do anal,but am more of a bottom any way... Don't worry you are normal and just don't think about it and enjoy your life...

A lot of times men have morning erections because they have to urinate. Don't worry. If you're able to get an erection when you masturbate, that means everything is working properly.

18 and its an on off case for me. Sometimes i'll find it there and sometimes its just not. THough most of the time i do wake up with it. If you're not experiencing this often then you most likely have a problem. GO see your local gp and take advice from a professional

An erection in the morning is usually caused by needing to go to the bathroom...... thats all.

I'm 38 and thus far Mr. Herbert wakes up before I do. I have had that happen with guys before where I just wasn't into it.

I would definitely have that checked out though.
